Sketching a Honeybee.

When we are sketching at school, we do a quick sketch first.  Then we do a very slow, careful sketch with the teacher, and these look amazing!  Here is my honeybee in the hive.

Publishing My Writing.

This is the story I wrote in my book and then I typed the words by myself on the computer.  My picture matches my words.

"it's tricky to write the words because I don't know what ones they are.  I liked drawing the picture.  I have a gold scooter."

Look What I Can Read!

"I can find 'went' in this story.  It is easy for me.  I can write the word in my story and I can find it in my book.  I know it now."

Ordering Numbers.

This game is on Sunshine Online.  The monkey and the orangutan and the gorilla are eating all of the bananas and I am counting them too.

"I can count up to ten.  I know that ten is after nine and eight is before nine.  I am learning skip counting in twos.  I can do two, four, six, eight and twelve.  I want to count up to twenty."

We are learning to write our numbers by ourselves and to put them into the right order.

"I can write my numbers up to 5.  5 is the tricky number because it's too hard.  I will keep trying and I am always trying.  At home I have a book and I can write my numbers."

I Can Read.

I am learning to read and write the word - can - this week at school.  Here it is in my reading book.

"I like reading at school because the words are cool.  At home I read to my mum, and sometimes my brothers are watching and listening too."

My Writing.

This is my first week at school.  I wrote a story.  First I drew my picture.  Next I told Mrs Kerr my story.  She helped me to write the words and then I can copy underneath.

"It is easy to draw the picture but it is tricky to do the words and I have to ask all the people.  Mrs Kerr can help me to do the writing.  I am getting better."
